Lena + Jordan's Rustic Mountain Wedding
I first met Lena on a New Orleans trip hosted by our university back in December of last year, in fact I met several extremely cool people on that trip. (I have a post about that trip, actually, right here!) Then, come the next semester we (and several other NOLA travelers) were in Life Drawing and History of Photography classes together. As the classes went on, I learned she was a very talented and dedicated artist, and a very funny person to be around! Nearing the end of the semester she asked me if I would be interested in photographing her wedding along with a few other art students, and of course I agreed. How could I say no to an expenses paid trip to the mountains? Plus complementary champaign!
It was truly a one of kind experience being a photographer for a family who appreciates the arts and made us feel like family too. This venue was the cutest cottage on the prettiest bit of land, yet sadly it was raining the day of the wedding. Nonetheless, family and friends were able to pull everything together to have the ceremony underneath the porch's awning. Jordan and Lena have been waiting for this day for so long, and it was the perfect weekend for them.
