Taylor + Jesse's Bright and Airy Penn House Wedding

I'm not sure many people understand the power and importance of word of mouth in the creative industry. I am so thankful to those who do, otherwise I would never have met Taylor and Jesse. Because of a friend's graduation photos I took a few years ago when I was very new to photography and not nearly as experienced as I am now, I was recommended to this couple by her mother. Taylor and I met as we were both nearing our weddings (both in August!) and I felt it helped us connect on a new level and we were able to share little bits of excitement you only get when you're planning your own wedding. Their families are so kind and were so easy to work with, even when my second shooter ended up too sick to stay and had to leave before the big events truly began. Not only were they understanding, they made me feel like more than an outsider while photographing their big day. They asked me questions about my upcoming wedding and seemed just as happy for me as I was for Taylor and Jesse.

Taylor and Jesse's wedding was located at the beautiful and historic Penn House in Reidsville, North Carolina. I'm telling you, this bridal room belongs in a dream! Full of southern charm and early 1900s architecture, you feel as though you are stepping into a princess's dressing room. The entire property is filled with that historic manor charm, and seeing it with your own eyes will win you over.

I guess now I should make a post about my wedding and honeymoon!
