The Grey Styled Wedding with Stormy Skies

It all started when I noticed an old friend, Alyssa aka State of Grace Events, was managing a new wedding venue and I saw an opportunity to work together.. to let this beautiful place shine. I reached out to her and we decided to plan a styled shoot together in debut of the venue's completion. Actually I take that back, it all started way before that moment. My hubby (oh it's fun saying that!) and I are friends with people who know the owner's family. About a year ago we planned a camping trip on their land, this land. You see, they have more than several acres of land and run a working farm on part of said land. Anyways, we had such a fun time camping there and visiting the cows (yes, the cows are nice and curious.. and bottle fed) that we decided to camp there again back in September. That's when we heard about the plans to turn the property into a wedding venue. Fast forward a few months and that's when the story of the styled shoot began!

Can you deny the stormy sunset views at the sweetheart table?

I surely cannot, I am pretty sure this is my favorite sweetheart table location I have yet to see! These tables and chairs are also made available to all events held at the venue so forget having to find a separate table and chairs rental company. We have to thank Manor House Flowers for the excellent bouquets she created for our shoot as well. What would this table be with out it? Even the moody sky perfectly complimented our flowers and grey tone theme. This view definitely gives me Tuscany feels. I've never even been to Tuscany, but something about it just gives me a feeling of resemblance. What do you think?

When our friends asked my husband and I what we were doing 'today' we told them about my styled shoot and each one of them told us, "Uhh.. You aren't having a shoot today. It's going to storm."

Well Alyssa and I held up hope because as proven over and over again, the weather is truly unpredictable and typically never rains for long. Thankfully all of the vendors involved had the same hope as us and everything came together as if nothing was going to stop us. Not to mention, the cloudy sky made a beautiful backdrop and cooled the air to a perfect temperature. It really couldn't have felt nicer out! Oh, and guess what. The rain held off until we were in our cars leaving the venue! No joke, it was like clockwork.

Bekah and Jesse were also perfect for this shoot, their love is so intense and free! Their fun personalities made this shoot come to life with laughter and genuine love.
