2017 Favorite Moments
Favorite Moments and Reflection
2017 was so full of growth and new experiences and I wanted to take a moment to reflect back on my favorite moments. This is actually my second time writing this blog post, thank you internet for not saving my progress! What a way to get a head start on the year, am I right? Haha. I know 2018 is going to be a fantastic year and I cannot wait for it!
Last year I quit my full time day job to finally put all of my focus and energy into my photography career! I have no regrets what so ever, it enabled me to do so much more than I could have when all of my social energy and time went to working at a restaurant. I made so many friends, learned endless skills, tricks, and how to use new equipment. The first thing I did with my new found time was dive into boudoir photography. Boudoir is something I had been wanting to start for a long time, and I was finally able to do so thanks to multiple girls being my "test" models and allowing me to use their photos for my website! It all started with a blow up mattress, fresh white linens, and a small empty space in my home. Since then, I have progressed further than I thought possible with my boudoir work. I now have a designated studio space I can book for boudoir clients and a go-to hair and make up artist! Photographing boudoir has also helped me provide beautiful products for my clients and learn how to expand my services and the experience of my clients.
I am also so thankful to have gotten to invest my time into styled shoots! They seemed so far out of reach, and now I have 3 under my belt. Including one at the beach! After shooting at the beach, I want to do all the beach sessions and weddings! It was such an adventure, and doing what I love in the sand and by the ocean was an amazing experience.
More than all of that, I am extremely grateful for my amazingly awesome clients! I would not be where I am today without any one of you. I am so happy for the adventures we got to go on and the friendships we made along the way. I cannot wait for the new relationships I will build with my clients this year!
